![]() I justified this car off of monthly operating cost savings and $40 - $50 per month ($480 - $600 per year) negates majority of fuel savings making the move to the Bolt pointless.Remote start I have never had, don't use, and it's on the fob anyways.Never found remote vehicle access useful, never had it on previous cars so don't care about it now.In vehicle apps didn't work, and I already have them on my phone and use via CarPlay. In event of an accident, my phone will automatically contact emergency services.Onboard wifi is unnecessary and slower compared to my phone as a hotspot (5G vs 4G LTE).M圜hevrolet app is garbage, could not connect or send commands what seemed like half the time.I recently had to make a decision on this as my free trial (Premium I think?) expired. ![]() Like i said, its something id pay 60-80$ a year for. (And, weirdly, the phone will stop responding to “Hey, Google” hands-free if you have it connected to Android Auto, which is why i did that experiment).Īnd in the future (all EVs after the Bolt, at least), you wont have the option to use your cell data, as Android Auto and Carplay are being axed. Also (for funsies) put a spare Google Home Mini i had lying around in the Bolt during the trial period, so i could ACTUALLY voice-activate Assistant without having to press a button. Had zero issues, otoh, over the hotpot in the Bolt during the free trial period. Ive had similar issues on others’ phone hotspots (Galaxy S20, S22, Fold) as well.
